What is this all about?
Maybe you are just a regular user and don’t know what is this all about. Recently google released a couple of new algorithm changes, which made lot’s of differences in the result pages. Since Panda and Penguin updates, there are no more “mom and pop” sites available. It’s only big brands like Amazon, Wikipedia and Youtube.
Google shows you that they think you want to see, not what’s actually available. They think if Walmart mentioned one word about widgets, that’s the result user want to see. They don’t care about sites like widgetreviews.com , widgetopinions.com and so on. I mean, some search phrases even produces empty pages from Amazon. I believe you already noticed that, since you are reading this page.
So what we can do about it? Not much, really! Google is doing that since they find no other way to fight spammers (and some people speculate that it’s their way to make more money with adsense ads).
What we can actually do, is stop using this search engine. Yes, it was good while it lasted, but now search results become almost non-usable.
